Registered Early Childhood Educator
Roles and Responsibilities:
· Plan and develop child curriculum plans
· Provide supervision and guidance of daily activities, field trips and special activities
· Provide opportunity for creative expression through the mediums of art, dramatic play and music
· Assess the developmental level of children
· Knowledge of Child Care Early Years Act (CCEYA)
· Knowledge of licensing regulations and How Does Learning Happen
· Supervise trainees or volunteers
· Assist in maintaining record of children
· Maintain day care supplies and equipment; light cleaning duties
Skills/Qualification/Experience/Education Required:
· 2+ years’ experience
· Member in good standing with CECE
· Completion of college in early childhood education
· Current vulnerable sector check and immunization records
· Emergency child care first aid and CPR
· Food allergy and anaphylaxis training
· Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate
· Leadership skills and be punctual, dependable and reliable
· Excellent written and oral communications
· Efficient interpersonal skills
· Ability to stand for extended periods of time and work at the height of children
· Work involves repetitive tasks and require attention to detail
Working Conditions:
· Noisy, Non-smoking, Air conditioned
· Early morning, morning, day, evening, flexible hours and overtime
· Physically demanding; combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, kneeling, and lifting

Position Type:
Permanent, Full-Time – 30~40 hours per week
Salary – $24.50 (CAD) per hour
Schedule:
· 10 hour shift
· 8 hour shift
· Day shift
· Monday to Friday
· No weekends
· Overtime
