Ethnic Food Cook
Roles and Responsibilities:
· Responsible for food preparation and cook complete meals while carefully adopting and following recipes
· A solid grasp of food preparation, cooking temperatures, safe food storage and general food safety regulations
· Liaison with kitchen staff and ensure smooth and efficient operation
· Follows food safety procedures and maintain work location clean and organized
· Ensure proper stocking of food items and fill all necessary paperwork
Requirements:
· 2+ years’ experience working in a kitchen environment for Japanese cuisine
· Experience in sushi preparation techniques
· Completion of secondary school
· Physically capable of lifting and carrying heavy items and standing for long periods of time
· Able to handle numerous tasks at once
· Team player, able to work in close conditions with other people
· Knowledge and understanding of health and safety regulations
· Able to work flexible shifts including evening and weekend
