Compositor
Soho VFX, a leading visual effects studio located in Toronto, is currently seeking experienced Compositors to join our growing team.
The Duties:
· Responsible for creating high quality digital composites and visual effects
· Produce digital elements that are photorealistic while achieving technical, creative and dramatic standards for use in commercial feature films and television productions
· Thorough understanding of compositing in NUKE
· Taking briefs and direction from VFX Supervisors to complete assigned shots
· Integrate the various layers or elements of a live-action shot
· A keen creative eye and an understanding of colour space principles
· Follow production process and develop creative approaches and problem-solving
· Excellent interpersonal skills
· Ability to work closely with Visual Effects Supervisors and Producers
· Work in partnership with creative team to ensure shots are delivered to the very highest standard
· Effective organizational and time management skills to meet schedules
The Essentials:
· 1+ years’ experience in compositor – film
· College diploma in graphic arts or relevant program
· Must have solid fundamental skills of NUKE, including keying, roto, tracking, and paint
· Must be comfortable integrating photoreal cg into live action plates and/or full 3D environments
· Must have a keen eye for detail, composition, light and color
· Must be able to take direction and work well in a fast paced environment
· Ability to apply design principles in producing graphic arts reflecting instruction and guideline with a minimum supervision
· Excellent organizational and time management skills for multi-tasking in a dynamic working environment

Salary – $57,200.00 per annum
Incremental raise may be available based on annual performance and salary review
