Bar Manager
Roles and Responsibilities:
· Plan, organize, control and monitor the operation of bar areas
· Evaluate operational procedures to ensure/enhance efficiency and profitability
· Oversee staff hiring and training for procedures, sanitation and safety
· Co-ordinate activities of staff by scheduling, training and assigning duties
· Evaluate staff performance and provide feedback for improvement
· Ensure standards of quality, presentation and operations are met
· Monitor and maintain records of stock, sales, repairs and wastage for modifying procedures and estimating costs for efficient and profitable operation
· Manage quantity and quality control of inventory
· Resolve customer complaints and ensure health and safety regulations are followed
· Communicate and maintain network with suppliers and vendors
· Participate and assist in implementation of marketing strategies
Requirements:
· Minimum 3+ years’ experience, including supervisory experience, required
· Completion of hospitality or food and beverage service program or equivalent experience
· Demonstrated leadership qualities
· Knowledge of Italian wines, beers, cocktails, and spirits
· Excellent communication and people skills
· Well-organized, able to multi-task and self-motivated
· Knowledge of health and safety procedures; certification is an asset
Working Conditions:
· Some work activities will occur after normal business hours i.e. day, evenings, night, weekends and special events; overtime may be required
