Baker
Roles and Responsibilities:
· Mix and bake ingredients to make pastries, cookies, breads, cakes and other baked goods
· Measure and mix ingredients into dough according to recipes
· Produce all bakery items in a consistent, precise and efficient manner
· Full knowledge of hygiene and safety standards in the kitchen
· Provide training and support to the team, demonstrate team work and foster good working relationships
· Operate commercial kitchen equipment including mixing machines, ovens, and other baking equipment
· Support a clean and organized environment through regular clean up
Requirements:
· 2+ year commercial baking experience
· Completion of apprenticeship or college programs for bakers or equivalent training or equivalent experience
· Ability to lift and carry heavy items (up to 25 kg)
· Have flexible hours to work evenings, early mornings, and weekends
· Be a self-starter and share our passion for preparing incredible products our customers will love
· Be able to manage time, pay strict attention to detail, take direction and meet deadline, and work independently and in a team
· Must be familiar with, and comply with, all health and safety standards
· Must be familiar with the use of commercial mixing machines, ovens, and other large-scale baking equipment
Working Conditions:
· Able to work day, early morning, morning, flexible hours, and weekend
· Standing for extended periods
