Baker
Roles and Responsibilities:
· Mix and bake ingredients to make cakes pies, breads, pastries, and other baked goods
· Measure and mix ingredients into dough according to recipes
· Produce all bakery items in a consistent, precise and efficient manner
· Full knowledge of hygiene and safety standards in the kitchen
· Provide training and support to the team, demonstrate team work and foster good working relationships
· Operate commercial kitchen equipment including mixing machines, ovens, and other baking equipment
· Support a clean and organized environment through regular clean up
Requirements
· 3+ years’ commercial baking experience
· Completion of secondary school
· Ability to lift and carry heavy items (up to 25 kg)
· Be able to work early mornings and weekends
· Physically capable of lifting and carrying heavy items and standing for long period of time
· Ability to manage time, pay attention to detail, take direction and meet deadline, and work independently and in a team
· Must be familiar with, and comply with, all health and safety standards
· Must be Food Handler certified
· Must be familiar with the use of commercial mixing machines, ovens, and other large-scale baking equipment
