Baker
Roles and Responsibilities:
· Mix and bake ingredients to produce cakes, cookies, muffins, pastries and other baked goods
· Measuring and mixing ingredients into dough according to recipes
· Producing all bakery items in a consistent, precise and efficient manner
· Full knowledge of hygiene and safety standards in the kitchen
· Provide training and support to the whole bakery team, demonstrate team work and foster good working relationships
· Supports a clean and organized environment through regular clean up
· Must be familiar with the use of commercial mixing machines, ovens, and other large-scale baking equipment
Requirements:
· 2+ years’ experience
· Completion of secondary school
· Be physically capable of lifting (25 kg) and carrying heavy items, standing for long periods of time, repetitive hand motions, mixing, rolling, etc.
· Be able to work early mornings
· Attention to detail
· Must be familiar with, and comply with, all health and safety standards
· Be a self-starter and have excellent work ethic
· Have enough technical knowledge of baking equipment to keep it in good working order
· Good interpersonal skills and team player
