establishment.
JOB TITLE: User Support Technician
LOCATION: 3300 McNicoll Ave. Scarborough, ON M1V 5J6 (1 Vacancy)
JOB TYPE: Regular
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Permanent; Full-time
ANTICIPATED START DATE: As soon as Possible
NUMBER OF OPENINGS: 1
SALARY: $28.85 per hour
HOURS OF EMPLOYMENT: 30-35 hours/Week
WORK SETTING: Office

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
 Provide first-line technical support to the users and employees via phone, email, chat, or in
person. Resolve technical issues related to application, hardware and other IT-related
problems.
 Maintain accurate records of IT assets, configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting
steps, as well as create and update technical documentation and knowledge base articles.
 Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues using appropriate tools and resources. Resolve
issues promptly to minimize downtime and disruption.
 Maintain documentation of IT systems, procedures, and troubleshooting steps. Develop
training materials and resources to empower managers to leverage technology effectively
 Create, modify, and deactivate user accounts in accordance with company policies. Manage
permissions and access rights for various systems and applications.
 Assist with network connectivity issues, including LAN/WAN troubleshooting, VPN setup,
and wireless network support. Ensure reliable network access for all employees.
 Conduct training sessions or create user guides to educate employees on IT systems,
software applications, and best practices for cybersecurity. Proactively identify opportunities
to improve IT processes, systems, and infrastructure.
 Recommend and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and user satisfaction.
 Respond to critical IT issues and outages promptly, including after-hours support as needed.
Implement contingency plans to minimize business disruption.

PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS
 Diploma in Computer Programming or related disciple
 7 months to 1 year of previous experience in the position or related position.
 familiarity with various operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux) and proficiency in
troubleshooting software issues.
 Excellent written and oral English Communication skills
 Ability to support and troubleshoot common business applications such as Microsoft Office
Suite, email clients, and web browsers.
 Ability to work well within a team environment, collaborating with colleagues and other
departments to resolve complex issues
 Capability to make informed decisions under pressure to resolve technical issues promptly
and effectively.
 Ability to supervise 1-2 people.
