Pahal Transport Inc. located at, Unit 309, 1656 Martin Drive, Surrey, BC is looking to hire an (1) Transportation Manager (70020) to start work with their company as soon as possible:
Job Duties:
• Recruit, train and supervise staff.
• Train workers in duties and policies as per the company
• Arrange for shipping documentation and the tracking and tracing of goods in transit.
• Manage finances or budget.
• Ensure compliance is set & followed according to transport regulations.
• Establish and implement policies and standards for the transportation and handling of dangerous goods.
• Monitor company’s performance, prepare reports for senior management, and plan for changes to schedules and policies.
• Oversee the scheduling and dispatching of vehicles and goods.
• Organize, direct, control, and evaluate daily operations.
• Ensure compliance with transport regulations and establish policies and standards for operations, including the selection of safety procedures for the handling of dangerous goods.
The wage offered is $43.75 per hour, 30 hours per week. The employee will be entitled to 10 days of vacation.
Job requirements
Languages: English
Education: Post secondary degree or diploma in business administration or relevant field is an asset
Experience: Transportation supervisory experience is an asset
Ability to Supervise: approx. 5-10 employees.
