Established in 2001 Human Kanvas is an Artist owned and operated Tattoo Studio. Our mission is to help our clients collect pieces of art through tattoo and piercing. Our shops foster a safe and friendly environment where getting thoughtful advice and support from the artists is as easy as booking a consult.
Continuously growing and on the lookout for exceptional talents, we are currently expanding our team. Presently, we are interested in Tattoo Artists skilled in various styles like Fine Line, Blackwork, Micro Realism, Watercolour, Illustrative, Floral, or other unique approaches. Ideal candidates will boast years of experience in these styles and demonstrate their expertise through a professional portfolio.
There are currently 2 vacancies available at our Airdrie Yankee Valley Location.
The artists must possess the following qualifications and capacities:
· A feel for the flow, and dynamics of drawing, as well as an extraordinary spatial awareness for skillful transposition of complex images onto the human body
· Ability to tastefully integrate background elements into the composition while preserving the artistic integrity of the central elements of the piece
· Ability to effectively capture movement, and produce a feeling of dimensionality in different artworks
· Outstanding shading skills and intricate dotting proficiencies
· Immaculate attention to details
· Experience working with designs that go full black and/or mezzotint
Besides performing an exceptional artistic work, you will be also responsible for:
· Meeting with potential clients for consultations to discuss placement, size, full-length design, and estimated price of tattoo
· Discussing options and details related to the tattoos
· Preparing and demonstrating custom sketches to the customers
· Following the highest level of health and safety regulations
· Performing permanent art tattoo on clients
· Bandaging clients and providing them with tattoo after-care knowledge and product options
· Performing touch-ups for your tattoos when necessary
Conditions of employment:
· Wage offered: $22.00/hour, 35 hours per week.
· Extended health and dental benefits
· Shifts will vary between 6-10 hours per day. You may be asked to work weekends occasionally

The following is required:
· Secondary School Diploma
· At least 2 years of experience working as a Fine Line, Blackwork, Micro Realism, Water colour, Illustrative, Floral or other outstanding style Tattoo Artist – we wish to see your portfolio
· Good command of English is a must, as adequate communication with clientele is integral to understanding and recreating the vision of the clients
