At the Royal Wood Shop we cater to the upscale renovation market including cabinetmakers, carpenters, general contractors and homeowners and provide an extensive selection of premium kiln dried lumber. Our sales associates are able to assist in choosing the best lumber for a project and ensure a high level of customer service.
We are looking for a long-term, friendly Sales Supervisor to join our team. This position will involve supporting our existing and future sales team in ensuring that our customer service standards are met, and our store continues to operate at maximum efficiency.
Duties:
· Supervise and coordinate retail staff and cashiers
· Assist in preparation of work schedules
· Assign retail workers duties
· Authorize payments and refunds for materials and merchandise
· Handle potential customers concerns and requests including, complaints, supply shortages, orders, etc
· Assist in inventory tracking and ordering including merchandise and business materials
· Assist in preparation of reports regarding sales volumes, merchandising, personnel matters, etc
· Train or arrange training for new retail staff
· Monitor and report on retail staff performance
· Maintain visual standards of the store including indoor and outdoor signage, displays, cleanliness, etc
· May perform duties of retail salespersons and cashiers as required (including covering break periods, vacation days, etc)
· Perform key holding and managerial duties as required including opening and closing the store, handling customers complaints, assisting in development of marketing strategies, planning sales and promotions, signing for deliveries, etc
Qualifications: Completion of secondary school and more than two years of experience in retail and sales with at least one year of experience in a retail supervisory role.
