ABOUT POSITION
At this time, we are looking for a skilled Roofer Helper to join our team. The successful candidate will perform the following duties:
- Load and unload materials and move them to work areas
- Mix, pour and spread tar and other materials
- Recharge/feed equipment used in the installation
- Assist roofers in installing, repairing, or replacing a variety of roofing systems
- Assist roofers in preparing surfaces of roofs for installing new roofs, vents and other ventilation systems
- Set up scaffolding and harnesses to provide safe access to roofs
- Remove rubble and other debris at sites
- Perform other duties as may be assigned
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- 6 months of experience as a roofer helper
- Secondary school diploma
- Must be able to work outdoors and in changing weather conditions
- Team player, client focused and flexible
- Work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to handle heavy loads as work is physically demanding
- Good English skills
EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS
- Permanent, full-time position
- $25.00 per hour
- 40 hours of work per week
- Overtime pay ($37.50/ hour) applies after 44 hours of work per week

- Work location: various company’s sites around GTA
