Registered Dental Assistant
Dentalcorp is looking to hire a full-time permanent Registered Dental Assistant to join
our team at Moosomin Dental Centre located at 602 Birtle St, Moosomin, SK S0G 3N0
Schedule: Full time hours, permanent position
– Monday – Friday: 7:30am – 5:00pm (opportunity for every 3 rd Friday off)
– 1 hour lunch break

The wage is starting at $26.75- $28.00 per hour depending on experience. Hourly wage is determined based on the candidate’s work experience and will be discussed during the interview process.

Responsibilities:
– Provide clinical chairside assistance, including proficient use and maintenance of
dental instrumentation.
– Prepare patients for dental examinations and treatments, ensuring their comfort
and understanding of procedures.
— Maintain infection control standards by preparing treatment rooms in accordance
with health and safety protocols.
– Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment to support optimal
patient care.
– Take preliminary impressions for diagnostic casts and assist in the preparation of
dental instruments and materials such as filling compounds.
– Assist with dental X-rays, including taking, developing, and ensuring accuracy in
imaging.
– Perform preventative care tasks such as polishing teeth, applying fluoride,
sealants, and desensitizing agents.
– Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care to support long-term
dental health.
– Support administrative tasks, including scheduling appointments, recording
dental procedures, preparing invoices, and processing payments.
– Manage office and clinical supplies by maintaining inventory and placing orders
as needed.
– Perform intra-oral duties (if certified) such as sutures removal, applying topical
anesthetics, anticariogenic agents, or coronal whitening.
– Fabricate, place, and remove temporary crowns and restorations, as well as
apply and remove rubber dams.
– Conduct advanced diagnostic tasks, including pulp vitality testing and periodontal
screening and recording (if authorized).
– Cultivate strong patient relationships while maintaining ethical and professional
behavior throughout all interactions.
About You:
– Registration with a regulatory body is required in all provinces except Quebec
and Ontario.
– Previous dental assisting experience is preferred
– Dental assistants require completion of an eight-month to one-year college or
other program in dental assistance or completion of secondary school with on-
the-job training
– Certification by the National Dental Assisting Examination Board is required to
perform intra-oral duties in all provinces except in Quebec, where intra-oral
duties are not performed by dental assistants.
