V4C 0C1 is seeking 2 highly motivated and performance driven Printing Supervisor to fill a permanent, full-time position and to lead our dynamic printing team. As a Printing Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the production of camera work, printing plates, and cylinders, as well as managing the printing, binding, and finishing processes for various printed products. Job Duties:
Lead and supervise a team of printing professional, coordinating their activities to ensure seamless production processes.
Manage a team of printing operators, providing guidance and support.
Train staff in job duties, safety procedures, and adherence to company policies to foster a skilled and knowledgeable team.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
Make arrangements and plans to meet schedules & deadlines for getting work done and coordinate work with other areas as required.
Review, edit and approve all job proof or samples to guarantee the highest quality output that aligns with client specifications.
Order materials and supplies necessary for the printing processes, maintaining an organized and well-stocked inventory.
Troubleshoot technical issues and implement solutions to minimize downtime and overall production quality.
Oversee equipment maintenance and repairs to optimize performance.
Prepare production reports and other relevant documentation to track and communicate key performance metrics.
Monitor printing processes to ensure quality standards are maintained.
Employment Requirements:
Completion of secondary school is required.
Completion of a college program in graphic arts technology may be required.
Proven experience in a printing or production supervisory role.
Strong understanding of print production processes and technologies
Several years of experience in the work area supervised is usually required.
Provincial trade certification may be required for some occupations in this unit group.
Language: English
Terms of Employment:
Wage: $33.28, 30 hours per week
Benefits: 4% vacation pay
