Meat Cutter
This position is open at NMK Foods Inc. company, located at 5757 Kennedy Road, Unit 7-8, Mississauga, Ontario L4Z 0C5. The position is responsible for the cutting and preparation of various meats (beef, pork, veal, lamb, and poultry). The job duties must prioritize delivering high-quality service to employees, customers, and suppliers. The candidate is required to work approximately 40-50 hours per week. The qualified candidate will have at least one year of experience in meet cutting job. The qualified candidate must be able to communicate in English language.
Major responsibilities:
Clean meats to prepare for processing or cutting
Cut, trim, and otherwise prepare standard cuts of meat, poultry for sale at self-serve counters or according to customers’ orders
Remove bones from meat
Cut carcasses, sides and quarters
Grind meats and slice cooked meats using powered grinders and slicing machines
Prepare special displays of meat, poultry
Shape, lace and tie roasts and other meats, poultry, and may wrap prepared meats, poultry
Manage inventory, keep records of sales and determine amount, product line and freshness of products according to company and customer requirements
Ensure food storage conditions are adequate
May supervise other butchers, or meat cutters
Compensation:
Salary starting at $19 per hour.
Statutory holiday full pay, vacation pay.
