Sweep, mop, wash, wax and polish floors
Dust furniture and vacuum carpeting and area rugs, draperies and upholstered furniture
Clean, disinfect and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances
Clean and disinfect public areas such as changing rooms, showers and elevators
Pick up debris and empty trash containers
Wash windows, walls and ceilings.

SPECIALIZED CLEANERS
Operate cleaning machines to clean carpets, rugs and upholstered furniture on customers’ premises
Cleaning damaged sites of our restoration projects
Perform pack-ins and pack-outs of customer contents which includes inventory of customer contents
Respond to emergency calls as determined by Supervisor
Clean soot and creosote from chimneys and fireplaces using hand tools and industrial vacuum cleaners
Clean ducts, vents and filters of furnaces in residences and commercial buildings using hand tools and industrial vacuum cleaners
Clean building exteriors, tanks, chimneys and industrial equipment using sandblasting, pressurized steam or hydroblasting equipment and post-construction cleaning

CLEANING SUPERVISORS
Supervise and co-ordinate the work of light duty, industrial or specialized cleaners and janitors
Inspect sites or facilities to ensure established safety and cleanliness standards are met
Recommend or arrange for additional services required such as painting, repair work, renovations or replacement of furnishings and equipment
Hire and train cleaning staff
Prepare work schedule and co-ordinate activities with those of other departments
Prepare budget, estimate costs and keep financial records
May perform certain cleaning duties.
