Job Description:
Grewal Family are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Support Worker – Elderly Care Giver to provide exceptional care for elderly individuals in a home setting. This position involves assisting with daily activities, personal care, medication reminders, light housekeeping, and companionship. The ideal candidate will have a strong sense of empathy, patience, and the ability to promote independence while ensuring the safety and well-being of our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide personal care such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
Assist with mobility and transportation needs.
Prepare and serve nutritious meals.
Administer medication reminders as per prescribed schedules.
Perform light housekeeping duties including laundry and tidying living spaces.
Engage clients in meaningful activities and provide companionship.
Maintain accurate records of care provided and any observations.
Requirements:
Completion of secondary school is required.
Previous experience in caregiving or related fields is an asset.
Ability to communicate effectively in English (verbal and written).
Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy.
Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
First Aid and CPR certification is preferred.
