Job Description:
General Construction Labourer responsibilities include:
– Load, unload and transport construction materials;
– Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks shoring and barricades;
– Operate and care for construction equipment and machines;
– Assist equipment operators, carpenters, and other skilled labourers when necessary;
– Level earth to fine grade specifications;
– Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites;
– Prepare construction sites by cleaning obstacles and hazards;
– Perform site clean-up and other tasks, as directed;
– Able to work in all weather conditions;
– Able to perform physical labour and other strenuous physical tasks (must be able to lift up to 45kg (100 lbs)); and
– Must be punctual and reliable.

Education: No formal education is required.
Work Experience: Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and have a minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience. Experience as a skilled labourer in the construction industry is considered an asset.
