Front of House Supervisor

Inside our 16,000 sqft space, Spaccio boasts an open concept central kitchen, a cafè and a well-stocked storefront offering customers a selection of fresh products such as homemade pasta, pasta sauce, desserts, salumi, formaggi and much more made daily to be enjoyed in-house or to take home. The storefront carries all imported Terroni and Sud Forno products at wholesale prices. As you eat and drink in Spaccio’s two-floor dining space and patio, you can watch the kitchen as the bread comes out of the oven, the artisans handmake the pasta and the pastry chef getting busy with the cornetti, bomboloni and other breakfast items that will be made fresh daily.

 

At this time, we are looking to hire an organized and dedicated Front of House Supervisor to coordinate the work of the serving team – servers, hosts, bartenders, sommeliers and bussers.

In this position you will be responsible for:

–          Supervise, co-ordinate and assign the work of the serving team

–          Establish work schedules and procedures for the serving team

–          Maintain staff discipline and conduct in strict accordance with restaurant policies and

procedures

–          Ensure established standards of cleanliness and sanitation are being met, as well as

execute daily and weekly cleaning projects

–          Ensure opening and/or closing duties are completed efficiently and thoroughly

including closing the register for the night (printing POS-terminal reports and

reconciling cash)

–          Ensure proper staffing for maximum productivity and high standards of client service

–          Conduct training of serving team on job duties and safety procedures

–          May participate in the selection of serving staff

–          Ensure that service meets quality control standards and support all levels of service

with an aim to foster long-term guest relationships

Position Requirements:

–          Secondary school diploma

–          At least 7 months of work experience as a Front of House Supervisor or similar role

–          College diploma in food service administration, hotel, and restaurant management, or related discipline is an asset

–          Good English language skills

Compensation & Conditions:

–          Permanent, full-time position

–          $22.95 per hour with applicable overtime pay after 44 hours of work per week

–          44 hours of work per week

–          Extended health and dental benefits

–          3 weeks paid vacation

Be ready to work shifts consisting of mornings, afternoons and evenings.
