Description:
As a Food Service Supervisor, you are responsible for running a shift to A&W standards and local labour laws, in the absence of more senior management. You will ensure efficient restaurant operation and maintain high production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards.
Job duties are as follows but not limited to:
Supervise, co-ordinate and schedule the activities of kitchen staff and food counter attendants
Ensure the well-being and safety of the customer and staff
Ensure restaurant is continually meeting production demands and standards for food quality, service times and service experience
Open /close the restaurant , with access to the safe and /or float
Assign work stations and manages breaks
Resolve and documents any issues within their realm of authority concerning the restaurant , staff and customers according to restaurant polices
Make decisions to balance key goals- high quality, speed and cost control through effective management of the Operating system
Complete daily paperwork as required
Complete weekly inventories as necessary
Complete weekly P&L statements as necessary
Complete orders as necessary
Complete various tasks dependent on ability, seniority, initiative and division of tasks
Train and coach staff as directed by management. Also assist with staff performance evaluation
Confront poor performance of staff on ability and individual situations
Ensure overall cleanliness of restaurant
Comply with and enforces all A&W operating standards
Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
High School Diploma
Minimum 7 months to 1 year of supervisory experience in food service
Additional Job Requirements:
Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet operational needs, including early morning, afternoon and evening shifts
