NOC Job Title: Cook (63200)
The qualified Cooks will perform the following duties:
· Prepare and cook Pizza and other complete ethnic dishes such as a variety of chicken, goat, vegetarian etc.
· Maintain stock required to make dishes.
· Comply with nutrition and sanitation/hygiene regulations
· Plan menus and determine the size of food portions.
· Organize and manage buffets and catering
· Clean up the station and store leftover food in appropriate conditions
· Estimate food requirements and cost.
· Train staff in the preparation of food/dishes.
· Supervise kitchen staff and helpers and assist them when needed.
· Oversee kitchen operations.
· Keep track of the food stocks and other supplies, and maintain inventory to avoid any disruptions in service
· Keep in mind all safety precautions while dealing with appliances in the kitchen.
· Inspect kitchens and food service areas.
· Ensure that food safety procedures are followed as instructed in the company’s Standard Operating Procedures
Cuisine Specialties: Cantonese cuisine, South Indian, East Indian and West Indian
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Work under pressure, Repetitive tasks, standing for extended periods and ability to work in the kitchen for extended hours.
