As the Office Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient functioning of our dental office. You will be responsible for overseeing administrative tasks, managing staff, and fostering a positive patient experience. Your organizational and leadership skilled will be crucial in maintaining a well-organized, patient-centric, and compliant practice. We need someone who enjoys people, who is organized and has a genuine interest in dentistry and oral health.

 

Duties:

·         Foster a positive and cohesive team environment and ensure proper communication between departments;

·         Supervise 20-25 people depending on current numbers of employees;

·         Train workers including receptionists and dental assistants in job duties, office procedures, health and safety and company policies;

·         Ensure all newly hired workers are being provided with sufficient training and clear expectations of tasks;

·         Establish work schedules and procedures ;

·         Co-ordinate, assign and review work for multiple positions to ensure scheduling, record keeping, data entry and patient communication are maintained according to office policy;

·         Co-ordinate activities with other work units or departments;

·         Resolve work problems, provide technical advice and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality;

·         Requisition or order materials, equipment and supplies;

·         Arrange for maintenance and repair work;

·         Consult with clients after sale to provide ongoing support;

·         Prepare and submit reports as required; and

·         Complete tasks and duties for other positions when necessary (i.e. covering break periods) which may include greeting and assisting patients, managing patient appointments, address patient inquiries, maintaining patient records, overseeing patient billing and insurance claims process, following up on outstanding patient bills.

 

Qualifications: Completion of secondary school and at least one year of work experience in a supervisory role in an office setting. Specific experience in a healthcare industry preferred.
