Responsibilities and Tasks
-Plan menus and estimate food requirements
-Determine portion sizes and costs
-Requisition food and kitchen supplies
-Prepare and cook meals or individual dishes
-Inspect kitchens and food service areas
-Train staff in food preparation, cooking, and handling
-Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment
Credentials
Certificates, licenses, memberships, and courses
-Cook Trade Certification
-Safe Food Handling certificate
