COOK – Tuk Tuk Thai (Signal Hill)

We require a Cook in a permanent, full time, regular position. We would also consider hiring part time cooks. The job will require shift work, weekend, morning, day, and evening work. You may be on call as well and therefore you should be flexible with hours and be willing to work overtime if needed. We would like the applicant to start as soon as possible. The position is at a Tuk Tuk Thai dine in fast food outlet service establishment serving Thai cuisine.
The position pays $17.00 Hourly for 40 hours per week.
The location is in the South-West part of urban Calgary right off of Sarcee and Glenmore and within walking distance of Calgary Transit. We are also close to Ernest Manning High School. We are located in Signal Hill Centre. There is plenty of free parking.
We are looking for someone who has completed high school. As well, the successful candidate will have at least between one month to at least seven months experience. You must be able to speak, read and write English.
The Position: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances, inspect kitchens and food service areas, train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food and you will clean the kitchen and work area.
You will be working in an environment that is fast paced and therefore you should have attention to details. You will be standing for extended periods often doing repetitive tasks.
We are looking for a long term line cook to grow with the company and to be able to work with staff to fulfill our corporate standards. You should have a strong client focus, be flexible, organized and a team player. You should have excellent oral communication and be dependable and reliable and show initiative. The job can be physically demanding.
