Specific Skills
• Prepare and cook entire meals or individuals dishes and foods
• Cook special meals for patients as directed by a dietician or chef
• Supervise kitchen operations and kitchen helpers
• Records of food, supplies and equipment and maintain inventory
• May clean the kitchen and work space
• Oversee and set up buffets
• May prepare menus, determine portion sizes, estimate food requirements and expenses, and monitor and order supplies.
• May hire and train kitchen staff
