Circle K Gas & Retail Store located at 8118 120 Avenue Northwest, EDMONTON, Alberta is seeking one full-time permanent cashier for 40 hours a week at $15 – $17 per hour. The position will involve shift work so hours will be determined. The candidate will need to know how to communicate in basic English. In terms of education, a High School Diploma is required .
No experience is required. We will provide training.
The Cashier will perform the following tasks: Perform cash register operations
Handle cash, checks, and credit/debit card transactions
Scan and process items at the checkout
Calculate and present the total cost of goods or services
Accept payments for merchandise or services
Maintain accurate records of daily or shift payments and reconcile with total sales
Offer upselling opportunities to customers
Restock shelves and maintain a clean checkout area
Welcome and assist customers with a friendly demeanour
Bag or package purchased items
Deliver exceptional customer service
Monitor store entrances and exits and request proof of payment when necessary
Verify customer age for the sale of lottery tickets, alcohol, or tobacco products.

The successful candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, work under pressure, handle heavy loads, physically demanding, have attention to detail. There will be a combination of sitting. standing, walking. standing for extended periods as well as bending, crouching, kneeling. The individual hired should be accurate, have flexibility and be a team player.
