Duties/Responsibilities:
1. Prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls, and sweet goods, as well as batters for muffins, cookies, and cakes, and create icings and frostings according to recipes or special customer orders.
2. Bake mixed doughs and batters to produce a variety of baked goods, ensuring that all products are baked to perfection and adhere to Café Bon Bon’s quality standards.
3. Frost and decorate cakes and other baked goods to enhance their appearance and appeal.
4. Ensure the quality of products meets the established standards of Café Bon Bon by conducting regular inspections to maintain consistency and excellence in all baked goods.
5. Draw up production schedules to determine the type and quantity of goods to produce daily or weekly, and adjust them based on customer demand and special orders.
6. Purchase baking supplies and ingredients to ensure that stock levels are maintained, and manage inventory to minimize waste and ensure the freshness of ingredients.
7. Oversee the sales and merchandising of baked goods, ensuring that displays are attractive and well-stocked, and work with the front-of-house staff to promote and sell baked products.
Job requirements:
Education: Completion of secondary school is required.
Experience: At least 1 year of commercial baking experience is required.
Language: English
