Duties and Responsibilities:

● Develop and implement standardized procedures and policies for day-to-day facility operations;

● Evaluate current practices and processes, recognize potential areas of conflict;

● Initiate methods and strategies to improve current business methods, quality of products, and guest services;

● Prepare and generate forecasts; to work closely with reservations, the front office and sales in order to maximize occupancy, rate, and revenue;

● Facilitate and support employee training to enforce up-to-date standard operating procedures;

● Manage and supervise employees and participate in their performance evaluation;

● Participate and have input into the recruitment and selection and hiring of employees;

● Support and participate in new employee orientation, training, and scheduling;

● Negotiate with suppliers and ensure inventory is maintained;

● Oversee customer service operations and communications, including conflict resolution; and

● Provide maximum personalized guest service and standards for returning guests, group contact, VIPs, the elderly, and other special requests.

 

Qualifications:

 

Education:

● A university degree or college diploma in hotel management or other related discipline is required for managers employed by hotel chains or large accommodation establishments

 

Experience:

● A minimum of 3 years’ experience in hospitality/ accommodation industry

 

Other skills/conditions:

● Advanced hospitality industry knowledge and superior work ethic

● Superior quality service in a fast workplace in the hospitality industry

● Ability to abide by all health, safety and sanitation requirements

● Excellent communication skills with passion in this industry

● Exceptional problem-solving skills

 

Language:

● English (superior oral and written)
