Supervisor” to join our Hotel to oversee business operations.
JOB TITLE: Food Service Supervisor
LOCATION: 311 Market Street, Summerside, PEI C1N 1K8.
JOB TYPE: Regular
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Permanent; Full-time
ANTICIPATED START DATE: As soon as Possible
NUMBER OF OPENINGS: 1
SALARY: $17.00 per hour
HOURS OF EMPLOYMENT: 30 to 35 hours/Week
WORK SETTING: Food Services/Hotel
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen and dining room staff.
Train new staff members on hotel policies, procedures and service standards and enforces
sanitary practices for food handling, general cleanliness and maintenance of kitchen, dining
areas and restrooms.
Collaborate with chefs to plan menus that meet customer service expectations and align with
hotel’s standards
Maintain high standards of food quality and ensure compilance with health and safety
regulations and food handeling standards
Monitor inventory levels and ensure stock is rotated and used effectively and coordinate with
suppliers to order food and beverage supplies
Coordinate and supervise staff so that standards of cleanliness & guest service standards are
maintained
Monitor customer feedback and make improvements as needed and address customer
concerns and resolve issues to ensure customer satisfaction
Works to create and maintain an enjoyable and respectful environment for our guests and
employees
PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS
Some Secondary (high) School Graduation certificate
7 months to 1 year of previous experience in the position or related position.
Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented multi-tasking environment.
Excellent written and oral English Communication skills
Valid Drivers licence would be an asset not required
Ability to work independently, flexible, client focused, reliable, good time management,
organizational, good teamwork, and Interpersonal Skills.
Ability to supervise 5 to 10 people.
May be physically demanding; requires crouching, kneeling, walking standing for extended
periods.
