Wage:
$36.00 per hour (40 hours/week; full-time permanent position)
Location of Work:
Various locations across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA)
Job Description:
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements
• Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials
• Fit and install, doors, trims, cabinets, mouldings and hardware
• Operate power tools
• Keep work areas clean
Work Conditions:
Physically demanding; Bending, crouching, combination of sitting, standing, walking
Work Site Environment:
Noisy, Dusty
Work Setting:
Millwork/pre-fab shopwork
Experience:
Minimum 3 years
