“Allied Waste Equipment” is currently seeking a driven passionate “Electrical Mechanic”
to join our Business. Allied Waste Equipment Inc. specializes in supplying, installing,
and servicing waste-handling and recycling equipment such as compactors, containers,
and chutes. The company provides customized waste-management solutions for
commercial, residential, and industrial clients across Canada.
JOB TITLE: Electrical Mechanic

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Permanent; Full-time
ANTICIPATED START DATE: As soon as Possible
SALARY: $36.00 per Hour
HOURS OF EMPLOYMENT: 30 to 35 Hours/Week
WORK SETTING: Warehouse
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Diagnose and repair electric motors, transformers, and other
electromechanical equipment.
Replace or refurbish shafts, bearings, commutators, and related
components.
Assemble and fit various types of spider couplings for electric motors.
Carry out static and dynamic balancing of armatures or rotors by welding,
brazing, or soldering electrical connections, and by aligning and adjusting
parts.
Perform machining work to recondition or modify shafts, commutators, or
other components.
Inspect and test electrical, electronic, and mechanical components and
systems of garbage compactors using testing and measuring instruments.
Inspect, repair, or replace defective wiring or components in electrical
switchgear.
Test repaired motors, transformers, switchgear, and other electrical
equipment to verify proper operation.
Conduct on-site maintenance and repair services.
PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:
Completion of secondary school is required.
Minimum 7 months to 1 year of experience is required in the position or related
position
Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented multi-tasking environment
Ability to lift heavy weights, meet tight deadlines and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently, flexible for all shifts, good time management,
organizational, good teamwork and Interpersonal Skills.
Excellent analytical and organizational skills
