Wage:
$45.30 per hour + benefits according to Union Local 506 collective agreement (full-time position)
Location of Work:
Various locations across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) and Province of Ontario
Job Description:
• Load and unload construction materials; move materials to work areas
• Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps at construction sites
• Mix, pour and spread materials such as concrete, traffic topping and hot rubber
• Assist various tradespersons in construction activities
• Assist heavy equipment operators to secure special attachments to equipment
• Signal operators to guide them in moving equipment and provide assistance in other activities
• Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites using rakes, shovels, wheelbarrows and other equipment
• Operate pneumatic hammers, vibrators and tampers as directed
• Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction such as mixers, compressors and pumps
• Perform other activities at construction sites, as directed
Job Requirements:
• Minimum 2 years of experience working in high-rise construction
• Working at Heights Certificate, WHMIS, OHSA in 4 steps, Confined Space Safety Training and Scissor Lift Training
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs without strain
• Ability to follow instructions
• Team player with a positive attitude
• Capable of working in a fast-paced labour-intensive environment
• Able to work at heights
• Able to follow and obey health and safety rules
• Punctual and willingness to work long hours and Saturdays if required
